In November pickings are getting a bit slim where the fruit is concerned (hope you like apples and pears!), but thankfully there’s still a lot of great quality vegetables in season. November is all about potatoes and red cabbage – they’re at their best this month – but look out for artichokes and butternut squash too.

November isn’t a month known for its rich pickings of UK seasonal fruit, but there are some fruits that will see you through the month:
- Apples (the Cox, Red Pippin, Golden Delicious, and Empire are all common in-season varieties to look out for this month)
The Vegetables To Eat Now
Thankfully there are loads of vegetables in season in November. So much so that you shouldn’t get bored!
- Brussels Sprouts
- Butternut Squash
- Cabbage (Savoy, Spring Green, Red and White)
- Jerusalem Artichoke
- Potatoes (maincrop)
- Wild Mushrooms (here’s a handy guide to dry mushrooms if you’ve got too many!)

There are also a few herbs and nuts in season in November, to spice up your cooking.
