For the last of my ethical gift guides of this year, today I’ve rounded up some lovely little ethical gift ideas for kids. As per the last two guides for men and for women, all the ethical gifts I’ve suggested are budget-friendly. There’s nothing in this guide over £35. What’s more, all the items come from smaller independent shops and makers.
And If you are looking for even more ideas, then do check out my guide to sustainable gift ideas.
Ethical Gift Ideas for Kids

Liberty Fabric Wire Name Sign (£14). The cutest little handmade sign. I’ve bought one for my daughter’s 1st birthday (and yes, that has come around really quickly… Too quickly.).
Buster The Bear Clock (£25). A sweet addition to any kid’s bedroom.
Sleepy Doe Pyjamas (£32). The sweetest pyjamas, designed and made in the UK. What’s more, they are free from harmful dyes and made from ecological cotton.
Lambswool Elephant (£32). Soft and cuddly, and sure to be a firm favourite for years to come.

Free Range Top (£19.04). Unisex, fun, and bright. This great top is available in sizes 3 months to 5 years.
Born To Be Wild (£15.79). There are hundreds of free nature activities for families in here, from the ever fabulous Hattie Garlick. Nature lays on magical materials for free each season, from fallen leaves and twigs, moulted feathers, sand, and shells, to mud, puddles, and rain. Everything else you’ll need for these activities is already hiding in your cupboards at home. No expensive art supplies or outward-bound kit is required. All you need are the toolkit items at the front of the book – ordinary household essentials like scraps of paper, string, glue, recycled food containers, and an empty jar or two.
Hello Nature (£9.48). Get kids interested in nature with this fun and beautiful interactive colouring and activity book. This is your very own nature scrapbook, packed with fascinating facts and brilliant activities. Doodle, draw, and colour in leaves, butterflies, frogs, and much more. How many different types of snowflakes are there, and how are leaves formed? Find out how to make your own leaf prints, twig sculptures and bird restaurants. With her beautiful, distinctive illustrations, Nina Chakrabarti urges you to explore the weird and wonderful things you can find all around you – whether you’re out in a park, in your back garden or sitting in your living room at home!
Bear Snood (£15), for keeping little cubs cosy this winter.
