I have been putting some thought into the food I eat a bit more lately. My diet isn’t too bad, but there are definitely areas for improvement, in terms of my energy levels. Being a parent to a small toddler is tough, and I need all the help I can get! At the moment I am flagging by early afternoon, and feel like making a few tweaks to what I eat could help boost my energy levels. My daughter not getting up at 5:30 am would help too, but that’s not going to happen any time soon!

The video is narrated by the food journalist Michael Pollan.  Its main message?  For a healthier diet eat anything you want, just cook it yourself.  If you’ve got 2 minutes to spare then please do give it a watch. It will change your life and your health!  I’ve honestly not stopped thinking about it since I saw it!

I don’t know about you but I plan on batch-cooking some meals this weekend and avoiding as much processed food as possible!  I’ll be whipping out my slow cooker – I’ve got some great vegetarian and vegan slow cooker recipes. I’ve also got some great healthier baking swaps. What’s on your menu?
