Spring Ethical Clothing Lust List

spring ethical clothing

Let me run through the best ethical clothing for spring.

With the clocks moving forward I have started to think about blue skies and sunshine and picnics. And just more all-round more agreeable weather for doing fun stuff outdoors.  I’m itching to get back out on my bike for after-work cycles (no fun in the dark).  And I’d love to spend more than five minutes at the park with my girls without my fingers turning blue!

Clothing-wise, after a winter spent wrapped up in several layers of knitwear, I’ve been doing a little bit of online browsing some of my favourite ethical clothing brands.  Just for fun, for warmer weather attire.

I’ve whittled down my favourites, and come up with my Spring ethical clothing lust list.  Here’s what’s caught my eye lately:

The Spring Ethical Clothing Lust List

This Thought Clothing embroidered chambray dress* (£79.90) is calling my name.  Although bare legs and sandals weather still seems so very very far away, I’m sure it would work with tights and boots until the weather warms up.

Lost Shapes* have created this 100% organic cotton denim shirt.  With it’s pair of cheeky screen-printed pigeons, it’s love at first sight.  My partner has a Lost Shapes t-shirt which is years old now.  However, it’s still a favourite of his and still looks immaculate.  This stuff is the best quality.

I have never tried Po-Zu shoes before, but gosh these vegan and ethically made linen slip-ons* (£89) look lovely.  Definitely worth saving up for.

Also on my lust list is this pretty Mara top* (£69) from People Tree.  This is so that I can pretend to be a free-spirited bohemian even though I’d probably be doing non-bohemian things, like the school run or putting laundry away!  I joke – it’s really pretty and it’s definitely way up there on my want list!

Last on my lust list is this Mushroom Medley organic t-shirt (£38) by the new-to-me, charmingly named, and more affordable ethical clothing brand Otter & Goat.  It’s covered in twelve different varieties of mushrooms so you can look like a fun guy in it!

Ok, that was a terrible pun, I’ll admit.  I’ll get my coat…!

What’s on your ethical clothing lust list for Spring?

Need some help finding an ethical party dress? Let me share with you my favourite places to shop.

Hello!  Got any exciting parties lined up?  Tis the season, and I myself have a couple of parties coming up.  The first being the most important – my mum and dad’s 50th wedding anniversary!  We are all getting together to celebrate 50 years of their marriage to each other, and I am looking forward to it!

With a few parties on the horizon, I’ve been looking for pretty ethical party dresses.  Let me share with you the five shops I turn to when looking for ethical dresses that I love. And as the most affordable and sustainable option is to shop secondhand, I’ve also shared my favourite places to shop secondhand.

Guide to Ethical Party Dresses

Do check out my ethical favourites. When you see a * after a link, this means this is an affiliate link. Anything you purchase using this link means I receive a very small commission, which goes towards the running costs of Moral Fibres.

This pretty Vermeer dress is just beautiful.  Ok, I might not pair it with socks and brogues myself – maybe tights and boots or heels – but it’s definitely got party written all over it!

Which dress would you pick?  I can’t decide! If you need any more inspiration, do check out my guide to over forty ethical clothing brands.

If these dresses are out of your budget (because let’s face it, money is tight at this time of year), then I always heartily recommend searching eBay* for something secondhand.  I’ve picked up many a pretty dress on eBay over the years: pretty much all of which have been barely worn.   I know some people won’t wear the same dress twice to parties/weddings, so eBay is teeming with worn once party dresses.  It’s certainly the most ethical and budget-friendly way of bagging a party dress!

I also have a guide to the best places to shop online for secondhand clothing, where you might also pick up some pre-loved gems!
