Want to know where to buy the best ethical jumpers and sweaters?  Let me keep you cosy with this useful guide.

What’s the weather like where you are? Right now, at the time of writing, it is definitely jumper weather here in Edinburgh. I’m sitting in my big woolly jumper, socks on, and with a cup of tea in hand, trying to decide if it’s too early to dust off my hot water bottle. I’m thinking it’s probably not too early. There is a definite chill in the air!

I have a couple of cosy ethical jumpers in my drawer. Some of these are from ethical retailers and some are from charity shops/eBay. However, I’m considering adding another to my jumper collection as I wear them so often.

Ethical Jumpers for Autumn

If you too are in the market for a new jumper to see you through the cool days and nights ahead, then here are five ethical jumpers and sweater brands that are as stylish as they are sustainable.

Thought

Thought* produces easy-to-wear fairtrade clothing made from bamboo, hemp, and/or organic cotton, often in beautiful prints.

They have a great selection of ethical jumpers. The Fairfield jumper, for example, is made from 100% certified organic cotton and comes in the most beautiful autumnal hue.

Caters for sizes 6 – 20

Bibico

I would describe Bibico* as laidback fairtrade fashion that’s simple yet stylish, and very wearable.  What’s more, all of Bibico’s items are made from natural materials.  As such, you won’t find any synthetics in their range.

This black woollen Mara ethical sweater has a cropped cut and the pocket is a cute extra.

Sign up for their newsletter and you’ll even get 10% off your first order.

Caters for sizes 8 – 16

Rapanui

Rapanui*, an Isle of Wight ethical brand, focus on eco-friendly-made casual t-shirts, jumpers, and hoodies for both men and women.

The Kingfisher jumper is made from 100% certified organic cotton in an ethically accredited wind-powered factory.

Caters for sizes XS – XXL

Two-Thirds

Two-Thirds is a Barcelona-based ethical clothing company, that uses organic and sustainable fabrics, to make beautiful slow fashion that is made in the EU.

The Sibu jumper is Scandinavian-inspired and is just the thing for cold days. What’s more, take 10% off your first order if you sign up for the Two-Thirds newsletter.

Caters for sizes S – L
