Looking for the best ethical and sustainable yoga clothing brands in the UK? Here are my favourite eco brands for both yoga and pilates.
Yoga and pilates are often associated with mindfulness, balance, and care. Yet, as I discovered when I took up pilates a few years ago to help work on my split abdominal muscles, a lot of the clothes available to practise these activities donโt always reflect those values.
The global activewear industry relies heavily on stretchy, synthetic fabrics, intensive chemical processing and complex supply chains, all of which carry quite heavy environmental and social costs. And most yoga clothes, unfortunately, fall under this banner.
Thankfully, there are quite a few ethical yoga clothing brands out there, aiming to address these issues by focusing on sustainable materials, alongside responsible manufacturing and labour standards.
The Sustainable Yoga Clothing Brands In The UK For Men & Women
To help you find these brands, here are my UK favourites. And to make life easier, I’ve categorised them all by who they cater for, their size range, and the average price of an item.
The price range key for this guide is:
ยฃ = Under ยฃ50 | ยฃยฃ = ยฃ50 โ 100 | ยฃยฃยฃ = ยฃ100+
Cottsbury
- Budget: ยฃ
- Caters for: men (S – XL) and women (UK sizes 6 – 20)

If you are looking for a wide range of organic cotton yoga clothing for men and women, then Cottsbury is a top choice. With a focus on transparency, care, and integrity, this family-owned and independent British brand is doing all the right things.
Every product is made in its Fairtrade-certified factory using 100% Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified organic cotton, which is free from toxic chemicals and synthetic pesticides.
And with full traceability from seed to shelf, alongside regular factory visits and third-party audits, Cottsburyโs range of yogawear works hard to ensure fairness and quality at every step.
BAM
- Budget: ยฃ – ยฃยฃ
- Caters for: men (sizes S – XXL) and women (UK sizes 8 – 18)

With some incredibly clear ambitions โ zero waste to landfill, zero pollution and zero wasted water by 2030 โ BAM is a brand worth paying attention to when it comes to ethical yoga clothes for men and women.
Its range is largely made from bamboo, sourced through fabric producers that take responsible viscose production seriously. These producers hold Oeko-Tex STeP certification, an independent standard that looks closely at both environmental impact and social conditions within textile manufacturing, rather than focusing on materials alone.
Ethics donโt stop at fabric choices either. BAM is committed to fair pay and decent treatment throughout its supply chain, and its clothing arrives without any plastic packaging
