Eco-Friendly or Ethical Christmas Gift Ideas for Foodies

eco-friendly gift guide

Shopping for Christmas gifts that are eco-friendly and/or ethical can be a bit tricky.  So to help out I’ve got a whole load of Christmas gift ideas coming up over the next few weeks for all ages, interests and budgets that fall into the eco-friendly or ethical camp.  All items have been selected from UK based retailers that pay tax in this country, so you won’t find any suggestions from Amazon or Starbucks or, Topshop, or anywhere like that.

I know it’s only November but I did a Twitter poll a few weeks ago asking people when they would like to see a gift-guide on the site and the answering was a split between the mid and end of November!

First up are some eco-friendly or ethical Christmas gift ideas for food lovers.  I’ve distinguished which are eco-friendly by (EF) and which are ethical by (FT):

Ethical Winter Accessories for Women

ethical womens gloves

We experienced our first frost of the season here in Edinburgh last week, and I had to dig out my trusty hat and scarf from the back of the wardrobe to keep warm when out and about.  Sadly my poor hands were freezing cold as I’m in dire need of some new gloves as my last pair succumbed to sustained wear! If you’re in need of an ethical winter warmer too then here is my round-up of some of my favourite ethical women’s winter hats, gloves and scarves:

ethical hat mittens people tree

These cute People Tree (affiliate link) grey gloves (£25) and hat(£22) are hand knitted in 100% pure wool, and the pom poms are made from strands of recycled wool for an extra eco touch.

I love the vintage style pattern on this lambswool hat (£18) and scarf (£29.95) from Seasalt.
